He oversaw thousands of civil, probate, class action, environmental, and complex insurance matters. Before joining the bench, he spent 25+ years as a senior partner handling high-stakes civil litigation and ADR. served on the New Jersey Superior Court from 2011–2022, including as Presiding Civil Judge and later Assignment Judge for Vicinage XIII. He oversaw a wide range of civil, commercial, environmental, and affordable-housing matters and served as Special Master in the Abbott school litigation. Before the bench, he spent decades in private practice focused on real estate, land use, and governmental law. Since retiring, he has led a full-time ADR practice and co-founded Sidebar Solutions with Judge O’Neill.

retired in 2025 as Assignment Judge of Vicinage XIII after serving in nearly every division of the New Jersey Superior Court, including leadership roles in the Civil, Criminal, Family, and Special Civil Parts. He resolved thousands of matters—from complex civil, employment, and malpractice disputes to high-profile criminal and family cases—and guided the vicinage through severe judicial vacancies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the bench, he spent 34 years as a trial lawyer, trying more than 300 jury cases and serving as a mediator, arbitrator, and trial-advocacy instructor.
