Litigants and courts are increasingly turning to Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”) as a time-saving, cost-effective way to resolve disputes. Sidebar Solutions was founded to meet that need by providing high-quality, efficient ADR services across a broad range of legal matters.
Who We Are: Retired New Jersey Superior Court Judges
Sidebar Solutions was established in 2023 by retired New Jersey Superior Court judges Thomas C. Miller and Michael F. O’Neill, both widely respected for their judicial experience in resolving contested matters. The "bench” strength of Sidebar Solutions has since been expanded, with the addition of former Vicinage XIII colleagues Julie M. Marino, Steven B. Rubin, and Kevin M. Shanahan, each bringing extensive ADR knowledge and litigation support expertise.
How We Work: Retired Judges Serving as ADR Neutrals
Sidebar Solutions is an association of retired judges, each independently operating as Limited Liability Companies. All listed mediators and arbitrators are independent contractors who may be contacted directly and retained individually or as a group to assist in resolving legal disputes of any level of complexity.
What We Offer: Mediation, Arbitration, and Adjudication
Our members provide a full complement of ADR services, including:
- Mediation: Assist parties and counsel in gauging outcomes and meet with all sides to forge a mutually acceptable resolution.
- Arbitration: Selection of one or three arbitrators to decide contested issues.
- Special Master/Adjudication: Assist in the management and disposition of complex, document intensive matters.
